Gift ideas for Community Managers

by Alison Michalk December 4, 2015

At Quiip we love supporting and championing the great work that Community and Social Media Managers do everyday on the frontline for their brands. The proof is out there that companies who leverage communities – do better. With Christmas coming, it’s time to bestow some gifts upon these wonderful people! If you are a Community Manager this might help you drop some hints! Here are our best gift ideas for community managers.

Gift ideas for Community Managers

#1 Portable chargers

We know Community Managers are loyally tethered to their communities at all times, so there’s nothing that makes our heart skip a beat like a low battery warning.

#2 Coffeeeeeee

Caffeine and community management goes hand in hand. Treat your CM and the environment with the awesome glass Keep Cups or a Frank Green “smart cup” which you can order & pay with!

#3 An Apple A Day

Whilst it’s hard to go wrong with chocolate, perhaps your CM requires some much-needed nutrients! Especially if they’re on the brink of burnout. Why not consider a fortnightly fruit box? There are economical options like Coles’ $18 box or excellent organic options around the country.

#4 Community Management Books

Check out our comprehensive lists of community management books. Too hard to decide? You can’t go wrong with an Amazon or BookDepository voucher.

#5 Subscriptions

There are loads of awesome subscriptions out there. Whether it’s Dollar Shave Club, Headspace for meditation or Blinkist for bite-sized book summaries.

#6 Let’s get physical!

Let’s face it, anyone with a intensive desk job struggles to make exercise part of their weekly routine. Why not gift your CM a Fitbit or other wearable? Alternatively you could pay for their yoga classes or basketball season (something we’re doing here at Quiip in 2016!).

#7 Stationary/Desk Goodies & Scents

Research suggests when you can personalise your space/environment you are way more productive! The same goes for scents & aromas. It’s hard to go past Kikki-K for stationery goodness. There’s no shortage of great candles, but scented reeds are a less risky option from a workplace safety angle!

#8 Plants

These DIY terrariums on Etsy are pretty neat  or look at plant delivery services such as Growing Gifts.

#9 Etsy

Speaking of Etsy — can you go wrong? So many great gifts from personalised to hilarious goodies and you get to support artists & crafters. If you can’t decide, go for the Etsy giftcard.

#10 Bluetooth Speaker

We bought these beauties for our Swarm speakers last year and have often been told how handy they are! There’s a full range of pricing for bluetooth speakers from $20 to these awesome Bose speakers ($299). We have one and it gets a daily workout in the office.

Merry Christmas!
