It’s our ten-year Quiipiversary!

by Amber Robinson June 23, 2020

This month we have a pretty special milestone to celebrate. It’s ten years since our founder Alison Michalk launched Quiip with this tweet:

Since then we’ve only seen the need for expert community management and online moderation grow, as social media becomes mainstream and the first port of call for customers wanting to engage with brands.

We now have staff in Canada, the UK and across Australia, so we can service our clients around the clock.

It’s been an exciting journey over the past decade as we’ve strived to develop the practice of community management in Australia while committing to excellent service delivery and ensuring we balance profit and purpose. We’re also really invested in being a great place to work, by providing support and flexibility for our employees and helping them achieve their personal and professional goals.

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported Quiip since launch, by engaging our moderation, training or consulting services, by working with us as an agency partner or by featuring Quiip in your publication.

We have lots on our to-do list, such as further developing our consulting arm of the business and launching sustainable development initiatives for Net Zero carbon emissions and a Reconciliation Action Plan.

Our 10-year Quiipiversary coincides with a new milestone of donating 1% of the year’s revenue to four registered charities voted by the team – The Indigenous Literacy Foundation; the Australian Marine Conservation Foundation, Sea Shephard and Amnesty International.

We also plan to continue our leadership role in the local community management industry, working closely with Australian Community Managers on best-practice resources, training and data.

Online community management has become an intrinsic part of the way organisations engage with customers and audiences in a digitally-driven and connected world, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.
